Riverside Health System is currently looking for experienced Medical Assistants to work in our System Wide Labor Pool. The Medical Assistant works under the supervision of the physician, Office Manager, RN, and LPN. The medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice, and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span. In addition, the medical assistant must be knowledgeable of health insurance guidelines for preauthorizations and referral processes, and be attentive to scheduling testing and specialist visits within network guidelines. EDUCATION: Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred. EXPERIENCE: One year of clinical medical office experience preferred.
